Is a leading global hygiene and health care products company, dedicated to improve well-being through industry-leading hygiene and health solutions. About 500 million people are using one of the company’s products every day. The company operates in 150 countries around the world.
The site in Hoogezand is the largest of the company in the Netherlands and also within the Personal Care Business Group. More than 500 employees work together to produce well-known brands such as TENA Lady, TENA Pants and Libero Up & Go.
The products of our customer find their way to the customer from a fully automated distribution center. The site in Hoogezand is very dynamic: every day is different and has its own challenges. Due to investments made in recent years and planned investments in coming years, there is a modern machine park with continuous investments in the latest production techniques.
For this customer we are looking for an high potential (Production) Unit Controller.
About the role
This position is ideal for a starting professional as you will have the opportunity and time to develop yourself into the role, as well for a more experienced professional to take immediate action.
As Unit Controller you will act as “CFO” for the Tena Lady Unit; you are able to fully understand the dynamics of the unit as you start your day with a recap of production status (any stops, any other performance, machine issues e.g.). You also join business meetings to understand long term investment projects and the Unit Team Management meetings to challenge the business and ensure you are able to add value through asking the right questions and running analysis.
Besides of being responsible for the Tena Lady Unit you will also be Business Partner for the Assen office. You report to the Site Controller, joining a team of two other Unit Controllers.
What you will do
- Fully support the TENA Lady unit and the Site Controller in achieving the annual targets and KPI’s;
- Member of Unit Management Team and act as business partner challenging unit manager and organization;
- Monitor financial and non-financial result and provide comprehensive and efficient analysis & management information to meet units needs and to support management decision making;
- Prepare and follow-up investment projects and be an important team member in large projects;
- Owner of cost price calculations and waste analysis;
- Coordinate forecast process and secure stakeholder alignment;
- Prepare monthly closings of unit results in line with Internal Control and Best Practice;
- Ensure all processes and procedures are in place, monitored and aligned to Internal Control at all times;
- Participate in business projects as required;
- Drive improvements and corrective actions when needed.
What you will bring
- Relevant Bachelor or Academic degree;
- About 2 (or) 5 – 7 years of controller experience, preferably in a production company;
- Ability to act as business partner;
- Strong team player;
- Natural and developed ‘run to standard’ and rigorous in executions mentality;
- ‘Can do’ attitude;
- Openness for change, challenging status quo and driving improvements;
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills;
- Well organized, focused and determined;
- Strong system skills/IT literate, (SAP, Business Warehouse, MS Office);
- Power BI or equivalent dashboard software experience is considered as a significant plus;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
