Our customer provides millions of consumers all over the world with dairy products containing valuable nutrients. With annual revenue of 11.3 billion euro, this is one of the world’s six largest dairy companies. Our customer owns many strong brands that are considered iconic by the communities they operate in. The products are being shipped to over 100 countries all over the globe. The company is still owned by a proud and strong cooperative of almost 20,000 farmers. Many of them have been members for generations.
The business group (BG) Consumer Dairy makes and distributes an extensive range of consumer products across the globe. From condensed milk to yoghurt, quark, dairy-based beverages and cheese. These products are sold in supermarkets, petrol stations, convenience stores and company restaurants all over the world or in local markets. Examples of the brands are: Campina, Peak, Dutch Lady, Landliebe, Frisian Flag, and Rainbow.

Job description
As an Operational Excellence Specialist you will be part of a team responsible for driving Performance Excellence in the Supply Chain organization globally. You will focus on areas e.g. OEE, labour productivity, Preventive- and Planned Maintenance, Performance Control Systems, Mindset and Behaviors and training needs of the organization. Based on your analysis and the future state model, you will design a roadmap for the particular site with the plant management team.
By utilizing your analytical skills, persuasiveness and organizational sensitivity you will influence Business Group Supply Chain Directors and Supply Chain Managers based on your functional expertise to adhere to the uniform Performance Excellence program. In this role you are part of and can reach out to the broad community focused on continuous improvement and safety to share best practices and increase awareness. You will join the Performance Excellence team and will report into the Business Group Manager Continuous Improvement. Requirements
To be a successful Operational Excellence Specialist, you have:
- Bachelor or Master degree;
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferable (but necessary) within an industry such as Food, Chemical or Pharma;
- Experience with Operational Excellence e.g. WCOM, TPM, Six Sigma or Lean;
- A successful track record in leading transformation processes within these environments;
- Willingness to travel very intensively (aprox 40 weeks a year);
- Languages: English and preferably one or more other language.
