There are various sites in the Netherlands of whom Hoogezand is the largest one. Hoogezand is also one of the key plants within the business group Personal Care. More than 500 employees work here to produce product under well-known brands such as TENA Lady, TENA Pants and Libero Up & Go. At this site there are three production units and in total 18 production lines.
The site in Suameer is the only location within this worldwide organisation that makes nonwoven products for hygiene applications. Think of products such as Tork and Plenty.
For the sites Hoogezand and Suameer we are looking for a Procurement Manager Business Partnering.
About the role
As Procurement Manager Business Partnering you will be the main interface towards the local manufacturing sites, the operational procurement team and global category management. As such you are accountable for all procurement related topics for your area of responsibility. As Business Partner you are a full member of the site(s) leadership team.
What you will do
- Execute the procurement business partnering strategy locally, ensuring compliance and follow-up as required;
- Promote and drive procurement initiatives onsite according to top priorities such as savings, risk, sustainability, innovation, secure supply and quality;
- Act as Procurement first point of contact for the business on local level and manage relationships with internal stakeholders;
- Make sure that all the procurement activities are integrated in the site(s) plan(s);
- Liaise with Global Category Managers and the assigned Buyer for respective initiatives;
- Is the first point of escalation for the manufacturing site in case of any procurement related topics, such as supplier and/or quality matters;
- Represent Global Procurement on local level in audits and other site visits;
- Ensure local stakeholder satisfaction, execute respective action plans and resolve issues;
- Challenge demand and drive optimisation by providing best practice insights;
- Supports the procurement organisation on projects and provides local insight;
- Manage global/regional contracts’ local implementation incl. contract announcements, user enablement and supplier introduction on a local level;
- Identify risk areas on local level, liaise with SQM/Sustainability and other Procurement teams to develop action plans and steer the execution of mitigation actions;
- Ensure supplier management, sustainability and CSR strategies are being integrated into the local business/site strategies;
- Optimise internal stakeholder satisfaction and local supplier relationship by consulting the Procurement Operations team on an improvement/action plan;
- Contribute to Procurement Excellence by providing feedback to improve system efficiency and standardisation to continuously enhance Source to Pay process and insights on KPI’s setting/analytical reporting development needs.
What you will bring

- Master level with the emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement, data or comparable professional education or equivalent within relevant field;
- Work experience in a similar role in procurement environment;
- Work independently and be comfortable in driving projects and work towards multiple stakeholders in a high-pace matrix organisation;
- Excellent and comprehensive understanding of the procurement function as an integral part of the end-to-end supply chain and proactive value driver;
- Experience in PowerBI or SAP Analytics Cloud;
- Process and business understanding in procurement environment as well as experience in SAP Ariba/SAP R3/S4HANA is an advantage;
- Strong communicator with high sense of collaboration;
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with colleagues from all levels of the organisation;
- Fluent in English and Dutch is mandatory.
